Opticians Check up every 2 years

My husband and I were at your training session at Hugh Baird College, firstly we would like to say how much we enjoyed your session but secondly we would like to say a huge thank you for encouraging us to go to the opticians for an eye test. From listening to your story about going blind when you were 30 gave my husband a push to make us an appointment at the opticians. We visited the opticians and my husband found out that he has cataracts and needs both eyes to be operated on as soon as possible because it can lead to other more serious eye complications. He also found out that he should not be driving as he is well below the driving limit. The optician’s only worry is that my husband is only 26 and that if he has the operation now he could develop cataracts again when he is older and may not be able to have the operation done for a second time.

We both feel that without your story we wouldn’t have made an appointment and my husbands sight would have gradually got worse and possibly led to something more serious. He told me that he noticed that his eye sight had suddenly declined over the past few months but was naïve and didn’t think it would be serious. We feel that your training has possibly save his sight.
